Free State, South Africa – More than 500 swimmers from 52 swimming clubs will participate in the 47th Sasol National Winter Swimming Championship taking place from 25 to 30 June 2018 at the Penny Heyns Swimming Pool in Sasolburg.
A team from Botswana and a swimmer from New Zealand will add international flair to the event. This is apart from our local swimming talent which includes the likes of Jandré Moll, Victor Aquantum
Tailyn Seyffert (all from Bloemfontein Seals), Zander Landman from Tuks and Reece Kincaid from Kloof.
Over the years the event has seen top international swimmers advance their competitive careers at the Sasol National Winter Swimming Championships, including Penny Heyns, Ryk Neethling and our latest national swimming star, Tatjana Schoenmaker who was the Senior Lady’s swimmer at last year’s event.
“The Sasol National Winter Swimming Championship is one of the longest running sponsorships in Sasol and the country. We are proud to have sponsored this event over the past 47 years as it grants the young swimming talent of our country the opportunity to compete on national and even international level at a world class facility,” said Vusi Cwane, Vice President Public Affairs, Sasol Sasolburg Operations.
