Hot Melt Packaging
HOT MELT PACKAGING
GTL waxes for hot melt adhesives in packaging applications
Sasol’s gas-to-liquid (GTL) wax is the perfect choice for mPE hot melt adhesive formulations due to its high crystallinity and excellent set time control. It meets all safety and operational requirements and, compared to alternative hot melt ad- hesives, offers a higher density and thus lowers the amount of adhesive required, resulting in material saving and waste reduction.
Sasol is the pioneer in the gas-to-liquid Fischer-Tropsch process. This GTL technology uses natural gas and nearly halved the CO2 footprint compared to the vintage CFT (Coal-based FT) process*.
In a next step, Sasol has developed an even improved GTL wax with reduced carbon emission vs. standard Sasol grade(s). Our ambition is further reducing the environmental impact of our Fischer Tropsch waxes by using power-to-liquid (PTL) technology, a quantum leap.
