Sasol has announced the appointment of Antje Gerber as Executive Vice President (EVP): Chemicals and member of the Group Executive Committee. She joins Sasol on 15 April 2024.
In a career spanning more than 30 years, Antje has held executive roles at several major chemicals players including Venator Materials Corporation, HB Fuller and Evonik AG.
From 2019 she was Chief Operating Officer leading the Speciality Ingredients division at Lonza Group (Switzerland). The division was sold and renamed Arxada AG in 2021. Antje then served as its President of Speciality Product Solutions from 2021 to 2023. Since 2022, she has been serving as a supervisory board member at Altana AG (Germany), a global leader in speciality chemicals.
Antje is passionate about people, culture, sustainability, and growth transformation. Her impressive track record demonstrates a deep commitment to customer satisfaction and driving business growth and profitability across various market sectors within the chemicals industry. With extensive experience in leading roles at European and American multinational corporations, Antje has excelled in areas such as product innovation, marketing, sales, business transformation and global operations management, with a keen focus on profit and loss accountability.
Following a highly accomplished career with Sasol of more than 32 years, current EVP: Chemicals, Brad Griffith, will retire at the end of the financial year, on 30 June 2024.
