Students are encouraged to apply for their 2015 Sasol bursary, as the closing date is looming. Applications for the bursary scheme close on 31 March 2014.
The bursary will help shape a student’s future, as it alleviates the financial burden and allows one to focus on their academic careers. Rated as one of the most competitive bursaries in the country, the all-inclusive package provides tuition fees, accommodation and meals.
At the State of the Nation Address, President Jacob Zuma earmarked education as one of the five key priorities as it is a means to eradicate poverty.
According to Monica Luwes, Corporate Graduate Services at Sasol, “The Sasol bursary has been an education ladder, allowing thousands of students to achieve their academic goals – be it to become an MD of a company, engineer or scientist. Sasol is committed to nurture our country’s bright future by investing in the next generation of high performers.”
Concurrent to the bursary scheme, Sasol offers a 36-month learnership programme for students who want to become qualified artisans. The learnership exposes learners to theoretical and practical training, equipping them to work at Sasol and upskill them for opportunities beyond the company.
Candidates interested in applying for a bursary or learnership can log onto www.sasolbursaries.com or call 0860 106 235 for further information. Applications for the bursary scheme will close on 31 March 2014.
