The cylinders of the Sasol Racing Circuit Team are charged for the penultimate round of the Bridgestone Production Car Championship taking place on Saturday, 22 September 2012, at the Killarney Raceway.

 

Both drivers are equally amped and ready for the challenging track, despite the 20kg weight addition to their car. The drivers are backed by a pair of Subaru WRX STi powered by Sasol Turbofuels™ plus and Sasol techno oil™.

 

Hennie Groenewald, second in the championship, is coming off a double victory from the previous race. “Killarney is my favourite track. It offers an interesting mix for a racing driver where the slipstream can make a difference and corners tighten up while still in the braking zone. There is one race feature win separating me from the lead, so I’m going to give it my best.”

 

Richard Pinard is equally upbeat about the team’s chances at Killarney. He said, “Since our initial weight penalty, there have been modifications which will help the car for the duration of the race weekend. Our technicians have made a lot of progress with our cars and in theory we will have a competitive package.”
