Our fuels business encompasses the established liquid fuels, bitumen, heating fuels and lubricants marketing activities of Sasol through our wholesale, commercial and retailing interests. Operations include fuel blending and storage facilities at our Secunda operations to turn components into market ready products.

GAS

We market and distribute Mozambique-produced natural gas and Secunda-produced methane-rich gas to customers in South Africa.

Pipeline gas is a convenient, reliably supplied and environmentally friendly energy source and chemical feedstock that is cost effective and ideally suited to a wide range of applications. These include, among others, heat treatment, forging, melting and casting, paint drying, galvanizing, baking and steam generation.

ELECTRICITY

Following the successful gas turbines power generation project at Secunda and the Sasolburg Gas Engine Power Project, Sasol is preparing for the commissioning and commercial operation of its 175 MW Mozambican Gas Engine Project (MGEPP), in partnership with Electricidade de Moçambique (EDM).

A number of electricity generation opportunities are in various stages of evaluation and development.
