Sasol donates two mobile clinics to KwaZulu-Natal Department of Health
KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa – On Friday, 28 October 2022, Sasol donated Health Resources, to the Department of Health in KwaZulu Natal Province in the form of two mobile clinics to the to the value of R1,461,810.00 (one million four hundred and sixty-one thousand eight hundred and ten rands). The mobile clinics were received by the KwaZulu-Natal Health MEC Ms Nomagugu Simelane.
Sasol’s statement on fraudulent Facebook profile
Sasol is aware of disturbing comments made on Facebook by an individual claiming to be employed by Sasol. These comments were made in relation to a number of recent tragic stories involving missing individuals.
Sasol can confirm that the individual represented in the profile, “Mbali Mazibuko”, is not employed by Sasol nor by any of our franchisee retail sites.
It’s very unfortunate that our name is being fraudulently used by this individual for their own ends on a shocking story.

The Netherlands-based Centre for Energy Innovation of the University of Twente in Enschede, and South Africa’s Sasol Research and Technology (R&T) have expressed the intent to join forces in the development of technologies for the removal of atmospheric carbon dioxide. Sasol R&T also has a regional office in Enschede.
Sasol’s statement on criminal charges pertaining to Secunda Operations environmental management
On Wednesday, 27 July 2022, the National Prosecuting Authority served Sasol with a summons instituting criminal proceedings. The charges relate to historical aspects of environmental management at its Secunda Operations.
The summons follows an investigation by the National Environmental Management Inspectorate (EMI), as an agency of the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (DFFE). Sasol fully cooperated with the authorities in this investigation.

The outstanding energy projects were developed by primary and high school learners in Sasolburg, Secunda and Ekandustria, and were presented in front of an independent panel of judges. The learners developed the projects to address energy challenges faced by their communities and schools.
