Sasol empowers school learners in fencelline communities
Johannesburg, South Africa – Sasol has launched its Energy Innovation Schools competition aimed at raising awareness on the use of renewable and sustainable energy. The competition is geared at grades 4 to 11 learners from schools in its fence-line communities in Sasolburg, Secunda and Ekandustria.
Sasol position on gas prices
Sasol Gas has informed the National Energy Regulator of South Africa (NERSA) and its customers that the price of piped gas sold to its South African customers will increase to R133,34/GJ. Sasol Gas recognises the impact of the increase in prices on customers, therefore Sasol has not applied the maximum allowable price determined in terms of the 2021 NERSA Maximum Gas price decision.

Sasol ecoFT and Deutsche Aircraft join forces to accelerate Power-To-Liquid (PTL) aiming for carbon-neutral flight
German aircraft manufacturer Deutsche Aircraft and South African chemicals and energy company Sasol have signed a MoU on advancing technology for green hydrogen-based PtL-SAF in aviation. Sasol ecoFT and Deutsche Aircraft have both recognised the urgency in transitioning towards climate neutral aviation. The two companies thus plan to foster the certification of sustainable drop-in and non-drop-in jet fuels, more particularly the ramp-up of PtL-SAF for aviation.
